Gregory,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your presentation and the way in which you described social media etiquette. I have never heard of the "think" acronym for social media, but it is a great way for people to self screen their posts before making them public. The acronym could help many professionals make more positive contributions on their social media today.
Gregory,
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of the "think" acronym before your presentation and I think that it could be a very helpful tool especially for professionals or students when posting things! I know it could help our generation especially those graduating schools and searching for jobs. Great presentation overall!
Hi Gregory, I liked how you use the acronym THINK as a test before posting something. I will definitely try to use this test the next time I post something on social media. I also agree that Kanye should not have tweeted in such offensive manners. It is important to take into consideration how others will be offended by what you say! Great job!
ReplyDeleteHello, Gregory! You used my favorite infographic on social media etiquette! I used the THINK strategy, as well. Great minds think alike, Gregory! :)
ReplyDeleteI think it's great that you chose Kayne West. He's all over the place! I don't know anyone on either political side that thinks he is sane, but he is certainly entertaining!
Gregory,
ReplyDeleteAs everyone else stated, I enjoyed the THINK acronym as well! It is very helpful and allows us to "think" before we post! Kanye is a great example of misuse of social media etiquette. Sometimes he will tweet and post the most obscure things without thinking.
Gregory, your definition of Social Media Etiquette was great, I especially enjoyed your inclusion of the THINK principle. I think it’s important to note as you posted that Kanye West simply reacts on social media rather than taking a stand for what he believes in, he just posts controversial ideas.
ReplyDeleteGreat point, Gregory. I like your suggestion that he should hire a social media advisor. Yes, sometimes you need someone to help as they can help you analyze your reactions from a different perspective, especially celebrities or popular athletes experience a lot of criticisms, even some of the personal issues are not supposed to be brought to the public.
ReplyDeleteI think that every celebrity can use a social media adviser because some people just don't know when to stop. It is sad to see that people with fame and money use social media as a platform for matters like this when they can be using them for proactive things that they claim to care about. The acronym was a great idea!
ReplyDeleteHi Gregory!
ReplyDeleteKayne West is a great choice for this project! He was talked about a lot about what he was posting on his social media. Youre right he really should have THINKed before posting what he posted online, because he lost a lot of followers for that. A lot of people looked up to him, and he acted like a child and posted too much about negative things. I like you're idea of hiring a social media advisor because he definitely needs that.
Hi,
ReplyDeleteI think you did a great job showcasing all of Kanye's tweets and ways that he missuses social media. I liked your idea of having him get a social media manager. I think that could be super useful in the long term! Great Work!
Kanye West is someone that should not handle his own social media accounts. Arrogance, narcissistic views, and ill statements are not traits you would love in a person. Yes, perhaps someone should THINK on his behalf. Great presentation.
ReplyDeleteI like how you mentioned that on social media you need to present yourself in the way that you want to be remembered forever, because it is true-- nothing goes away. In terms of Kanye, I believe that people have the right to express their political opinion and those who support Trump and those who don't both have the right to express their reasoning. I do agree that Kanye took it too far when he tweeted things about court verdicts and his opinions in those matters because it was almost making jokes out of serious situations where a lot of people got hurt.
ReplyDeleteHey Gregory,
ReplyDeleteThis was a very informative presentation. I have heard a lot about Kanye and his presence online but I had not read some of those tweets before. He needs to realize that young kids look up to him. All of the political stuff aside, he still has nonpolitical tweets that younger kids would not like to read. He has a platform that not a lot of people has and he needs to use it for more encouraging things.
Hey Gregory,
ReplyDeleteYou gave a great background history of what social media etiquette is!! I have been reading a lot about Kanye West in different articles but none mentioned Twitter! As I have said before many celebrities have no idea the amount of influence they actually have on culture and youth!!
Gregory, Thank you for sharing your presentation I really enjoyed it! I've always been a big fan of Kanye's music and was very confused when he decided to take the stances that he took. When Kanye suddenly became a huge Trump fan I thought maybe this is just a publicity stunt but I'm no longer sure. Great presentation!
ReplyDeleteHi Gregory,
ReplyDeleteI thought this was a great presentation and I definitely enjoyed learning about the THINK principle and it is something I will remember. As for Kanye, I think it's common knowledge that he is quite eccentric and that his social media etiquette is not the greatest. With that said, I agree with the ways you thought he could solve his issues!
Hi Gregory,
ReplyDeleteI like that you stated one of the ways that Kanye can have a more positive social media presence is by having a social media adviser or publicist that can help him to navigate what he posts. I don't think that what he posted was really horrible, he was stating his political opinion which many people do on twitter and social media without causing harm, etc. However, I do think he could have a better understanding of word choice and could definitely use help in conveying his political views in a more professional manner without profanity. This is where the social media etiquette comes in.
Hello Gregory,
ReplyDeleteI thought your presentation was really interesting, and it was a great topic to pick Kanye West. Similar to Donald Trump, Kanye posts many controversial topics without regard to audience. I think that he does not entirely realize how big and who is audience is. Often teenagers listen to his music and follow his social media accounts, and this definitely affects their image of him. It is important for these stars to remain wary of what they post, because it can influence their younger audience.
Hi Gregory,
ReplyDeleteI liked how you explained what social media etiquette is. What I loved the most about your presentation is that you used "THINK" acronym to explain the things to remember before posting anything on the social media. I have never heard of this before and so I think it can be helpful to many social media users. Kanye should realize many people look up to him and he has many fans following before posting anything on social media.
Hi Gregory,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your presentation as you took the time to explain your meaning of social media etiquette. The "Think" example is a good, simple way to remind people about what to post and what not to post. Kanye is someone who does not think before acting and a lot of his posts are controversial and confusing. He has said strange things while being disrespectful. With that much influence, he should be sensitive on social media (if he ever uses it again). Thanks for sharing!
